(Marbell a) Swans School is an extremely well established center of excellence for children 3-12 years old. Founded in 1971, Swans combines strong values and tradition with innovative teaching and modern technology. All our fully qualified British teachers are dedicated to enhancing the learning of every child in our care.
Whilst the school adheres to a firm academic framework, no effort is spared to instil in the child a solid foundation of inner resources and to develop in each pupil a wide range of interests so that, no matter what their academic achievement, each and every child may take his / her rightful place in today's society.
The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that is delivered in English and adapted from the model in place in the United Kingdom. We utilise a combination of teaching individual subjects alongside some projects / topics which involve more than one subject. This way of organising learning supports our ethos of developing independence and creativity and involves our children in making considered choices and developing their learning in context. Other languages include Spanish, French, Arabic and German.
The school is mainly organised into year groups in accordance with the British system. We currently have one Early Years class from which children progress into one of our two Reception classes. We then have two classes at each year of Key Stage One (Years 1 of year reports are and 2} and two classes at each year of Key Stage 2 (years 3 to 6}. We also offer a Year 7 class, as this is the final year of the official Spanish Primary Curriculum.
The curriculum is designed to motivate each child to adopt an open,enquiring approach to learning, while at the same time stimulating the natural creativity that is within every individual. Many extra curricular activities are available and the children are encouraged to have a full and rewarding day
