(Estepon a) Mayfair Academy is a Private International Secondary School which provides a first class education for students, between the ages of ten and eighteen, studying for I.G.C.S.E. and A Levels.
Mayfair is conveniently located in the Centro Commercial Costasol on the N340 close to Cancelada approximately midway between Marbella and Estepona.
Education is concerned with cognitive, cultural, moral, spiritual and physical development of all students. At Mayfair Academy we believe that this development is best fostered in an atmosphere where all students are respected, trusted, valued and encouraged and in which there is tolerance, care, security, praise and high expectations associated with clear learning goals.
The development of concepts, skills, attitudes and knowledge, which are the goals of the learning process, is facilitated through encouraging students to pose and solve problems and demonstrate responsible attitudes and behaviour. They adopt a critical and self evaluative approach to their work, build upon their own success, make constructional use of failure and reflect upon their own experiences. All of this assists in the character building of the student.
To this end, we plan for a range of learning skills, pay attention to the quality of the classroom environment and ensure the students work achievements are valued and celebrated. Students at Mayfair Academy experience working individually, collaboratively and in groups which help them to develop positive interpersonal skills and attitudes to themselves as learners.
